TIPS TO BE MORE EFFECTIVE.

Organisation can make up for all kinds of weaknesses in other aspects of life. Try a few of the below for a week or two and see what difference it will make to your life.

1. Communicate, communicate, communicate –
If ever in doubt, communicate your intentions, achievements and perceptions to keep others informed and to avoid misunderstandings. For example, always reply to e-mails so that the sender knows you’ve received them and are taking necessary action. If you are late to a meeting, phone or text the person you are scheduled to meet to let them know.

2. Battle procrastination –
Spend five minutes trying to tackle the job you are reticent to undertake. Typically, you will find you get involved in the job and don’t want to stop until you are finished.

3. Keep a diary -
of appointments, necessary actions, and achievements. At the least, start everyday by formulating a ‘To Do’ list. This will keep you on top of necessary actions, and will help you plan your day and use it as effectively as possible.

4. Be prepared –
Always go to a meeting having read the document to be discussed and make hand written (or even better typed) notes to take with you. This will impress your colleagues and vastly improve your contribution to the meeting.

5. Keep important documents to hand -
Ensure you get copies of all important documents of projects you are working on. Who knows when you’ll need them. When working on a computer, always create duplicate copies of your files, with the same files on both a hard drive and a flash drive.

 6. Organise your documents –
Even if it’s just in piles relating to topics (files are better). This will make it easier to access the documents when you want them and keep track of what you have. And don’t stop there. When working on a report, different drafts should be titled. Organise your desk!!

7. Always take a pen and paper (or even better notepad or diary) with you -
Whenever you have an idea, write it down. Some of our best ideas are lost because we don’t write them down.

8. Multitask –
Always carry additional work with you when going to meetings or when travelling. There will be many occasions where you may be waiting at a location external to your office. Having something to read or analyse will make that time useful, and will mean less work when you get back to the office.

9. Take a few moments everyday to reflect -
On the challenges and successes of the past few days. That is, aside from prayer, think through why something is troubling you and what potential solutions are. Similarly, why are successes successful? How can you utilise these lessons in other parts of your work and life?

10. Read and bring yourself up -
The best teacher is the student himself/herself. Find out where you can access learning resources and seize the opportunity

WAYS TO UNLOCK THE BEST PART OF YOU.

It’s time to be all that you can be and to get the most out of your life. If you are not experiencing career success; if you are not satisfied in your personal life; if you know there to life than what you are experiencing, then it is time – time for you to unleash all of the potential that is hidden within you.
And it does all start with you – not your friends, family members, conditions at work, and so on. It begins with a change in attitude/thought, confidence, self-esteem, goal setting, and then, of course, action. Here’s 5-step process.

1. Changing Thought and Attitude

Nothing happens in anyone’s life that does not first begin with a thought. Thoughts and the words that accompany them are powerful. They can either limit or liberate us. The first step in reaching potential is to get rid of all of those negative thoughts that you carry around like a garbage can full of trash. Some of those thought are, “I’m not smart enough to go to college; I probably won’t find the right relationship; I won’t be able to find a better job; I’ll never have enough money to live nicely; I’m afraid to try that”.
All of these things, rolling around in your head, control how you act. If you continue to say you can’t go back to school (for whatever reason), then you won’t do it. Here’s something to try: When you have a negative thought, write it down – start keeping a list. Once you get them all written down, look carefully and see how you can counter them. For example, instead of, “I’m not smart enough to go back to school, say “I could try one course, maybe even online, and just see how I do.”

2. Your Goals

No one achieves his/her potential without goals. Goals begin with desires, so you will need time alone to research yourself. Yes, research, because that is how you discover what you really want. What would be your ideal job, lifestyle, relationship, etc.?
Now, back to that writing again. Let’s take the ideal job, for example. Suppose that would be owning your own business. Write down as much detail as possible. What product or service would you sell? What projects would you run? What do you need to start that business? Who would you sell the product or service to? How could you market it? Without realizing it, you are developing a plan to meet that goal. Now, what could you do in the next week that will get you started? Give yourself a deadline for that and put it on your calendar. Communicate that goal to a few trusted people. Then you “own” it, and you will feel much more responsibility for it.
Big goals are achieved in steps and stages. Instead of looking at the end right now (that can be intimidating), just look at the first step. That’s doable.

3. Eliminating Fear

Fear results in lack of confidence and ultimately very low self-esteem. People who fear change, striking out on a new path, or taking risks to improve their lives, are just stuck where they are. They live in a “comfort zone,” but that comfort zone is a place of no progress.
The only way to cure fear is by taking action, in small steps at a time. The first action, the next time you have a fear is to write it down. What exactly do you fear? Once you have it out and on paper, you can ask yourself a couple of Questions. Why do you fear this thing? Is it because you have failed at something similar in the past? Are you afraid you will fail now? Then ask yourself, what is the worst that could happen? If you fail at something, you’ll still be breathing. Sometimes when we write down the worst that could happen, it really does not seem as horrible as it was in our minds.
Once you have finished this little exercise, write down one small action you could take toward that thing you are fearing. Give yourself a time limit for that action. Maybe it’s a phone call; maybe it’s finding an online course; maybe it’s getting your resume updated for an eventual job search. Take one step.

4. Visualize

When we were kids we used to day dream and imagine a lot. Somehow, as we matured and life got in the way, we lost the time and the desire to dream and imagine. Our days, and sometimes our evenings are filled with “to-do’s.” We finish up our day and fall into bed, tired and ready to sleep. Even when we have trouble sleeping, we ruminate about worries and problems.
Learning to become a kid again and to daydream and visualize is a wonderful thing. Now that you have a goal, get a picture in your mind of what you and your world will look like when that goal is achieved. Go to that place in our mind several times a day, if only for a few minutes. When we learn to keep a vision of a great end result, we develop a positive attitude toward the goal and will work harder to achieve it.

5. Self-Talk

Just as visualization is important, so are the words we say to ourselves. Here is the self-talk that people who reach their potential engage in. “I can do this; I can learn anything I need to learn; I am worthy of good things; I am going to get this done and do it well; I can spend the time I need to spend to meet this goal; I will stick to what I have begun and follow through.” And as this self-talk becomes a habit, you will find that you begin to achieve the things you set out to achieve. And don’t forget the gratitude part. People who reach their potential are grateful that they have the skills, the talents, the motivation and the support of a few good people.
Now, use these tips as a bit of a checklist for yourself. Are you doing, on a daily basis, those things that will push you toward reaching your full potential? Keep this list. Read it every day. A great deal of reaching potential is developing those mental habits that allow you to take action.

DISCOVERING AFRICA ALL-OVER.

Henry Ford once said: “You can have any colour, as long as it is black.” Similarly, native inhabitants of Africa say: “You can be an African in any colour, as long as you are black.”There has been a sudden demand for an African to come in a variety of colours.
During the days of slavery, when an African was a commodity, there was never a demand for him in any colour but black.
There is now an attempt in the 21st century to redefine the colour scheme of an African.
Now whites want to be classified as African too. ( written by Khanya)

Human beings are referred to as Earthlings because they live on the planet Earth. A person of any colour born in Nigeria, for example, is called a Nigerian. No one denies their Africanness simply because of the colour of their skin.  Nigeria is on the African continent,  Unfortunately it is as simple as that. No great revelation here.
So I asked myself a question: Why does African countries lack Good Leadership, except for very few ones you can clearly point to? well, I will leave that discussion for another day.
Here are some facts about African countries that will educate you.

Who is Africa named after?

So Africa is not named for a Roman general as many people still think, no, the Roman general in question was named for the country he had conquered: he was already known as Scipio the younger, but only after his conquest he was named Scipio Africanus.

HOW MANY COUNTRY ARE IN AFRICA

There are 47 countries on the African continent, including the disputed territory of Western Sahara. However, the islands off the coast are also usually listed as African, bringing the total to 53.

AFRICA’S POPULATION

Africa is the second-largest and second most populous continent on earth with an estimated population in 2013 of 1.033 billion people. Africa is home to 54 recognized sovereign states and countries, 9 territories and 2 de facto independent states with very little recognition. The UN Population Fund stated in 2009 that the population of Africa had hit the one billion mark and had therefore doubled in size over the course of 27 years. As of 2015, the population estimates are around 1.166 billion.
"Africa countries are all growing fast... because there is large number of women who have no access to planning their families" she said. "It's an African phenomenon of a large growing population and a large percentage of young people in the population."

Most Populous Countries in Africa
  • Nigeria: 173,611,131
  • Ethiopia: 95,045,679
  • Egypt: 82,196,587
  • Democratic Republic of the Congo: 67,363,365
  • South Africa: 52,914,243

Least Populous Countries in Africa
  • Saint Helena, Ascension and Tristan da Cunha (UK) (non-sovereign): 4,000
  • Seychelles: 93,033
  • São Tomé and Príncipe: 194,161
  • Mayotte : 217,000
  • Cape Verde: 501,674

Africa Population Growth

Any expert would find it hard to argue with the commonly held view that the population of Africa in 2013 and beyond is set for further increases. With little or no measures in place to address the issue, the 1.9 billion prediction for 2050 is entirely plausible.
Africa currently has a very low population density of about 65 people per square mile, which puts it behind Asia, Europe and South America. The population of Africa is currently projected to quadruple in just 90 years, with a growth rate that will make Africa more important than ever to global economy and more.
Africa's Nigeria is currently one of the most populous countries on earth and, a China's population shrinks and India plateaus, Nigeria will reach nearly 1 billion people by 2100 and come close to surpassing China. This is pretty amazing considering the country is about the size of Texas. Nigeria is set for one of the biggest population booms in world history and it's expected to increase by a factor of eight in just two or three generations.
The boom in Africa's population will be in sub-Sahara, including in countries like Tanzania, which is one of the poorest countries on earth. Just 13 years ago, the country's population was 34 million, which has now grown to 45 million but is projected to reach 276 million by 2100, which is close to the current population of the U.S.
Many consider Africa's population growth a bit frightening, with predictions placing the continent's population at 1.9 billion by 2050. By 2100, 3/4 of the world's growth is expected to come from Africa, reaching 4.1 billion people by 2100 to claim over one third of the world's population. Most countries will at least triple in population as the region has very high fertility rates and very little family planning in most regions.
As much of Africa is still developing, and it contains some of the poorest countries on earth, time will tell how it will sustain such massive population growth.

RICHEST COUNTRIES IN AFRICA.

Africa is one of the largest continents in the world in terms of land mass. But when it comes to monetary wealth, Africa has most of the poorest countries in the world. How ever, not all African countries are poor. This ranking is based on GDP ( Gross Domestic product) and PPP (purchasing power parity) which gives all the final goods and services produces in a particular country within a country in a specific year.

  1. Seychelles – $25,229 (GDP per capita)
  2. Equatorial Guinea – $23,370 (GDP per capita)
  3. Gabon – $20,612 (GDP per capita)
  4.  Botswana – $17,101 (GDP per capita)
  5. Mauritius – $16,100 (GDP per capita)
  6. South Africa – $11,914 (GDP per capita)
  7. Libya – $11,497 (GDP per capita)
  8.  Tunisia – $9,900 (GDP per capita)
  9. Namibia – $8,200 (GDP per capita)
  10. Algeria – $7,500 (GDP per capita)

To save the world; you need to start with one person... Kay

The only thing that can Trap a man is her CHARACTER... kay

Time reveals who we really are.... kay

Money Saving Rules

Here are a few rules that will help you understand what you should change in order to feel financially stable for a rest of your life!

Rule 1) Always spend less than you earn
In fact, this is an excellent idea, because it is a very natural condition for a human being – the more we earn, the more we tend to spend as well.
But take notice – if all those additional purchases are only your wishes and dreams, rather than something significant and crucial for your comfortable lifestyle, start rethinking the way you are spending your money and maybe don’t always spend every single penny you own just because you can.
In fact, that money you saved will be pretty needed in the future, for instance, then you retire, or you need to pay your loans for house or education.
It always pays off to keep your money for a rainy day, rather than spend everything on fashionable outfits which won’t be necessary the next season. On the other hand, if something just has to be bought, you can start using a few money-saving tricks as well.

Rule 2) Money can’t buy happiness
The law is as old as the world, but is it entirely correct? The rule tells the truth then it comes to the knowledge that you have money, and that directly helps you to avoid stress and anxiety that often occurs when a person is unable to meet its basic needs just because of lack of money.
You will feel much freer, calmer and certainly happier when you do not have to save the last slice of bread and count every penny.
People with an annual income of 75 thousand dollars were feeling happier than those who had less income. Of course, this did not confirm the rule “the richer, the happier.”
People with an annual income of more than 75 thousand dollars did not feel happier than those who have less money. So here, we should remember one thing – money isn’t everything, and sometimes the more money you have, the more problems you have!

Rule 3) It’s not worth saving money because you won’t be able to take that with you in afterlife
The right idea?
As it turns out – not quite. In everyday life, this idea can actually be dangerous! First, you cannot know when your last hour will come, and you need money now to pay your bills and cover the loans.
Second, if you follow this idea, you will spend money on various unnecessary things just because life is short, and tomorrow might not come.
Such behavior will sooner or later lead to financial problems and impose a debt burden.
Also, note that in some cases, your spouse or another family member will have to take
responsibility for your loans and pay them after your time on Earth is over.
So, maybe forget this ancient rule and better think of people who you are going to leave behind – you don’t want to make more problems, do you?

Rule 4) Never borrow money and never ask for money yourself
Great idea. But not nowadays.
This rule maybe made sense 500 years ago, but in realities of the present day, we have to borrow money to buy an apartment or a car, to have a healthy, functional life!
In fact, Harvard University studies have shown that people can achieve a lot more in their lives if they have some property of their own, rather than people who don’t, even if their incomes are the same.
If you are more experienced with money, you can even take part in investment and gradually improve your financial well-being. Rich people know that money makes money, so in some cases, borrowing can be that one option to increase your life’s quality.

Rule 5) Do not borrow money from Peter to return money to John
Of course, this is a good idea. But it is not always practicable.
Nowadays, this rule can be applied for loans from the bank and not from individuals. This means if you borrowed money from one bank, do not borrow money from the second bank to return to the first.
Such behavior can help you only if the second bank gives you a loan with a lower interest rate than the first.
For example, you can save if the first bank loan is 8 percent per annum while the second – with 3 percent. But keep in mind that you can lose a lot of money by doing inter-bank transfers and get in more trouble than you had!

Things To Do To Change Your Life Forever

The one constant thing in our life is CHANGE. We cannot avoid it and the more we resist change the tougher our life becomes. Trust me, I know this because I was very skilled at deflecting change in my life. We are surrounded by change and it is the one thing that has the most dramatic impact on our lives. Change has the ability to catch up with you at some point in your life. There is no avoiding it because it will find you, challenge you, and force you to reconsider how you live your life.
Change can come into our lives as a result of a crisis, as a result of choice or by chance. In either situation we are all faced with having to make a choice – do we make the change or not? I believe it is always better to make changes in your life when you choose to rather than being forced to.
We however cannot avoid the unexpected events (crisis) in our lives because it is these events that challenge our complacency in life. What we can control when we are experiencing these challenging events, is how we choose to respond to them. It is our power of choice that enables us to activate positive change in our lives.
Acting on our power of choice provides us with more opportunity to change our lives for the better. THE MORE OPPORTUNITIES WE CREATE TO CHANGE OUR LIVES THE MORE FULFILLED AND HAPPIER OUR LIVES BECOMES. Here are what you can do in your life that will change your life for the good, forever:

1. Find Meaning In Life
Spend some time trying to sort out what is important in your life and why is it important. What is it that you want to achieve in your life? What are your dreams? What makes your happy? Your meaning in life gives you purpose and sets the direction of how you want to live your life. Without meaning you will spend the rest of your life wandering through life aimlessly with no direction, focus, or purpose.

2. Create A Dream Board
When we were children we would daydream all the time. We were skilled at dreaming and visualising what we would be when we grew up. We believed that anything was possible. As we grew into adults we lost our ability to dream. Our dreams became hidden and once we started to feel like achieving our dreams was impossible.
A dream board is a great way for us to start believing in your own dreams again. Seeing our dreams every day on a dream board brings our dreams to life. Our dreams become real and we start to have believe in the possibility of achieving these dreams.

3. Set Your Goals To Achieve Your Dreams
Once you know what is important in your life and what your dream life looks like for you, you need to take action and set your long-term, medium, and short-term goals. It is acting on these goals that enable you to achieve your dreams
Remember your goals may change. Always be flexible with setting and achieving your goals as things in life change and your goals need to reflect these changes. It’s the small steps that you take that create the momentum for change to happen in your life.

4. Let Go Of Your Regrets
Regrets will only hold you back in life. Regrets are events of the past and if you spend all your time thinking about the past you will miss the present and the future. You cannot change what you did or did not do in the past, so let it go. The only thing you have control over now is how you choose to live your present and future life.
I had a heap of regrets that were holding me back in my life. I came across the “Balloon Exercise” and got rid of my regrets for good. What is it? It’s simple — blow up as many balloons as you need. On each balloon write a regret and then let the balloon go. As the balloon drifts off into the sky say goodbye to that regret forever. A simple and powerful exercise that works and can change how you live your life.

5. Start Living A Well-Balanced Life
Our health does not remain the same. Our physical, emotional, and spiritual state changes, as we get older. What we can control however is how we feed our minds and our bodies. Living a balanced and healthy life builds our resilience to the physical changes of our body. Exercise is the best way in which we can attain a positive and optimistic attitude toward life.
Living a healthy, well-balanced life with lots of exercise is a lifestyle choice that without a doubt will give you a happier more satisfied and fulfilled life.

6. Face Your Fears
Its easy to ignore our fears and hope that they will go away. Unfortunately, it does not work like that. If you want to change your life, learn to master your fears so they can’t control you any longer. Our fears are only thoughts in our minds that are not real but over time we have become to believe that they are true. It is our fears in life that stop us from living our life to the fullest. We know when our fears are controlling our lives because we feel discontent, dissatisfied and unfulfilled.
Once we face our fears we take back our power to choose how we want to live our lives and when we do this we change our lives forever.

7. Accept You
The only person who is going to create change in your life is you! and to create that change you have to like you. There will be times in your life where you will face rejection and there will be people who will not like you that much. Accepting who you are and loving yourself helps you to move forward in your life. Putting yourself down all the time and wishing you could be better will only lead you to a life of unhappiness and discontent.
Find your courage, love yourself, and step out and do something crazy. Don’t worry about what anyone thinks or whether it is the right thing to do. In your heart if it feels right, act on it and go create the life you love.

8. Live In The Moment
Many of us tend to think that the grass is greener on the other side. Often, we get to the other side of the fence we find that this is not so. The motivation to change our lives comes from our desire to be happy. We are often so busy focusing on our pursuit of happiness that we miss the joy of actually living in the moment. Our desire to have happiness in our lives is a desire of a future state not of the present. We become so consumed with all our problems and discontent in the present we miss the precious beauty of the moment.
Sitting on the beach eating an ice-cream with your best friend or partner is a moment of happiness. Appreciating and showing gratitude on a daily basis is experiencing happiness in the moment. Helping those in need brings joy and happiness to us. This is what living our life in the moment is all about – don’t miss these moments because you are too busy focusing on your pursuit of happiness.

9. Experience The Joy Of Learning
Each time you learn something new you gain more knowledge and with more knowledge comes more confidence. Learning helps us to be more adaptable and flexible to new situations. Learning encourages us to be more creative and innovative in our thinking and we are therefor more comfortable with the unknown.
Reading books is a great way for us to learn. To fully embrace the joy of learning, never stop reading nor searching for more knowledge. Learning gives our life meaning and this is what makes our life worthwhile.
You have a choice to make as to how you want to change your life. Choosing to act on these 10 things will, without a doubt change your life forever. So what are you waiting for? Go do these 10 things now!

BEST WAYS TO MAKE A FAST GROWTH.

1.     STAY AWAY FROM PEOPLE THAT DON’T BELIEVE IN YOU:
You don’t want to waste your time with these people, spending too much time with them kills your self esteem and morale. They won’t do you any good kill that dream, swag, motivation and energy of yours. Just run for your safety, don’t discuss your dreams with them. But you can wave them from a distance.

2.     ALWAYS OPTIMISTIC ABOUT LIFE (NEVER STOP BELIEVING YOU CAN MAKE IT):
What we become is what we think about, and what we say shows who we’re. The difference between achievers and the others is what they think about always. The worse thing a man can do to himself is given up. Always think the end from the beginning.

3.     BUILD YOUR OWN ENVIRONMENT IF YOU DON’T LIKE THE ONE YOU ARE:
Maybe you find yourself in a place that is affecting your thought and growth negatively, you have to create your own environment. Buy yourself some materials that will get you busy and take your mind off that environment that you’re. It might be music, book, and video or attend tutorial classes.

4.     BE VERY CLEAR OF WHAT GOD WANT YOU TO DO:
Sometimes we run our own race forgetting that we are all built and created for a purpose. You need to know that purpose. The earlier the better for you Fam. Being clear of what God want from you help you in every area, it help you psychologically to produce excellent things.. (lol. I can write a whole book on this).

5.     STAY FOCUS:
Be successful in one thing before you move to another. Focus your energy to one direction and when you are successful at that, you can move to another.  Jack of all trade mostly leads to nothing.

6.     SET YOUR MIND ON THINGS THAT YOU WANT ALWAYS:
If you want to experience fast growth you need to start thinking about things you want to achieve and not things that you don’t want. Our mind is the most powerful tool, its bigger than anything you can see with your physical eyes.

7.     WAKE UP EVERYDAY AND PRACTISE:
Time has thought me that if you can practise that thing you want to achieve for 6-weeks max, you will be addicted to it. Your body can riot against your practise but remember that if you can control your mind, you can control anything you want.

8.     HAVE A COMPETITOR AND SET A TAGET:
Get a rival, not a weak link but someone that you can compete with (mostly someone better than you). It can be your friend, family or someone else. Use your mouth to set a competition with him or them. It will make you do more and achieve more. CR7 once said, “ Messi made me a better player”.

9.     ASK YOURSELF SOME SINCERE QUESTIONS:

1. WHY AM I DOING?
2. CAN THIS THING AM DOING CHANGE LIFES AND NOT ONLY MINE?
3. IN THE NEXT FIVE YEARS, WILL I STILL BE DOING THIS?
4. AM I IN-CHARGE OF MY SITUATION OR THE OTHER WAY ROUND?
5. HOW DO I WANT PEOPLE TO SEE ME?

1.  DO A SELF REVISION:
Get a pen and write out things you have achieved and things that you haven’t achieved. And map out what it will take for you to achieve them.

The more opportunities we create to change our lives the more fulfilled and happier our lives become. Here are 10 things that you can do in your life that will change your life for the good, forever:

5. Choose Some Really Scary Things To Do And Then Do Them
This is all about you choosing to step out of your comfort zone. Public speaking is one of the most frightening things anyone can do. I was petrified of public speaking however, I knew that I wanted to be a motivational speaker. So I joined Toast Masters to overcome my fear of public speaking. My first speech was terrible, my knees were knocking, I broke out in a sweat and I couldn’t stop shaking. But I did it and the feeling of completing this speech, even though it was terrible was great. I chose to keep going and now I earn a living as a motivational speaker. I am still nervous when I get up to speak however it is an excited nervous and I love it.
Make a list of scary things that you would kind of like to do but are too afraid to. Put a plan in place and then go do them. Never stop doing scary things because if you do your life will become one of complacency and comfort.

8. Accept You
The only person who is going to create change in your life is you! and to create that change you have to like you.

“Change is the law of life. And those who look only to the past or present are certain to miss the future”

~ John F. Kennedy.
