MEET ARSENAL NEW COACH - UNAI EMERY

Unai Emery’s full name is Unai Emery Etxegoien. He was born in the year 1971 and he is a retired footballer of Spanish origins. He played in the position of left midfielder and now he is a manager of Paris Saint-Germain FC which is a French club. He competed mostly in Segunda Division and was able to play 215 matches and got nine goals during his five seasons. He embarked on the managerial career after spending some years in Valencia and La Liga. He led the team to three third-place finishes. During the year 2013, he signed under Sevilla and he took the club to Europa League victories three times before joining Paris Saint Germain

From his biography, he was born in the city of Handaribia in the Basque country. He graduated from Real Sociedad and he never attended the first team. When he was 24 years, he played in five games of La Liga games and he scored when they played against Albacete Balompie with 8-1 home win. He continued to play mostly within Segunda Division. He retired from Lorca Deportiva CF when he was 32 years old and he had only one season with Segunda Division B.

His father and grandfather were footballers and they were playing in goalkeeper position. His uncle called Roman played as a midfielder. He is married to Louisa Fernandez since 2005. With his wife, they are parents to a son born in 2003, in Madrid. His philosophy and tactics had contributed a great deal to his successful career. His net worth is 13 million dollars.

Since he was injured seriously when he was playing in the 2004-2005 season with Lorca, he was given a vacant for the manager position from the club president and this helped the club to achieve promotion at the second division and it was the first time in the entire history of the club when they won against top-level side of Malaga CF for Copa Del Rey. In the second season, the Murcain club has been able to reach on 69 points and they finished at the fifth position. This was the five points off the promotion of top flight. The club had relegation for the campaign that followed and this was because of the departure of the manager.

Unai Emery moved to play with UD Almeria in division two and he helped the squad to overachieve and helped them achieve their first ever promotion of 2007. An Andalusia side finished at the eighth position after the campaign. This helped him to be promoted to go to Valencia CF after succeeding Ronald Koeman. In the first season together with Che, Unai Emery led the club to reach to the sixth place to the final and qualification to UEFA Europa League even when the club had financial problems.
